Fishing It Ain't, The hands we are dealt
Many years ago lots of people from the small town of Wigan in the north of England were sent to Australia to serve out prison sentences mainly for crimes against poverty. Things have changed a bit, these days they send Australian prisoners to work in Wigan as punishment, mainly in pubs and cafes. All this has nothing to do with the film other than it was made by an ex-Wigan lad living in Oz called Simon Woods about another ex-wigan lad and artist Pete Conroy. I stumbled on this because of a fellow lure maker Barry Robinson who still lives there, Wigan that is not Oz, which reminds me I need to go fishing with him. I would say "enjoy the film" but that is a given.

Lure Painting: How to Paint a Mackerel Crankbait - Marling Baits
Someone recently asked me what my favourite fish was and in truth I had to say mackerel, just because they look how I image an electron would look if they were fish. So here is a monster mackerel crankbait, handmade and painted by Marling Baits.

Making a Spooky Stick Bait
Well some days I barely manage to avoid any fish, this is an art form I am perfecting. If you fancy your chances with a bit of broom pole enter the give away and if you win I will make you one.
